    1. Paramount sent out a message to subscribers:

      >*“We understand your frustration. Unfortunately, South Park has come to the end of the window in which we have the rights to carry it on Paramount+ which is why it has now had to come down from the platform. If you wish to cancel your Paramount+ subscription and forfeit the promotion applied to your account, please confirm the email address associated with the account you wish to close. Once we receive your information, we’ll respond with confirmation that your subscription has been cancelled.”*

Great, first HBO Max, and Now THIS?! Guess this show really can’t seem to catch a break at all when it comes to these streaming platforms.

Try not to freak out or worry too much. The sourced website is the definition of clickbait. They’ll turn the tiniest thing into a massive deal. It’ll probably be resolved very soon.

A lot of talk in this thread about the licensing deals between Paramount+ as well as HBO Max but it overlooks that there isn’t a new deal in place with the creators of South Park who in 2007 got a deal that gave a 50/50 split on digital rights for their works. That deal is what is up for renewal and the new Skydance guys are meddling in it even though they don’t yet own the company. That is why there has been no new episodes of South Park either. Check out this week’s episode of The Town podcast if you’re interested in slightly more depth.
