ICE is officially the new SS.
Its easier to just remember that Trump follows Hitler’s pattern, almost exactly. Its never been about crime.

Why go after the hard ones when they can just scoop up people at a court house bunch of wusses
Deportations of non-violent people trying to follow the rules legally.
That’s why these pathetic gravy seals are grabbing people from court hearings or other legally required meetings they show up for. They’re too cowardly/incompetent to go after people who are real threats.
It’s all about the numbers. The numbers of people they can round up and put into consideration camps that are privately owned that miller has a financial stake in and trump get a cut of.
Real criminals are hard to find and pin down. But fruit pickers and Uber drivers that are already on the system waiting for residency permits are easy as 123.
Using metrics (ie: 3k apprehensions a day) is going to impact innocent people when you can’t find enough or deprioritize criminals. Metrics never work other than meeting the metrics instead of the reasons or goals of setting them. That’s true for so many things where quantity becomes the only thing that gets rewarded and everything else takes a back seat.
Trump kept ranting about the drug lords and gang members yet I have yet to see any critical arrests for real criminals. Its much simpler to deport anyone you don’t like instead.
Makes sense. More drugs and human trafficking = more work for ICE and more reasons for deportation is needed propaganda as drugs will go up.

They’re not even going after the violent criminals anymore. They are running a muck!
„Deportations“ feels like a codeword for their gestapo operations at this point.
So we aren’t even pretending this is about going after criminals anymore. Just jumping feet first into the fascism.

It was never about catching criminals.
Now we are living through the bait and switch of ‘open borders’ and ‘Biden is letting in criminals’ to just rounding up farm workers, construction workers, cleaning ladies at hotels and ICE waiting outside of churches and schools so that they can pump up their numbers.
It’s such a shame. The American racist brain rot is starting to approach Israeli society racism and xenophobia in a dark way that I’m not sure we can come back from.
The good news is that, *this is not the mandate that the Republican’s are making mass deportations out to be.* They won on the slimmest of margins and just let Democrats snatch defeat from the jaws of victory (again). The bad news is that I’m not sure the Republicans will concede power ever again and that would mean we’re racing toward a constitutional crisis and potential civil war if we don’t start walking back the deportation fever insanity. Because today it’s the illegals, then tomorrow is the naturalized citizens, then the next day it’s anyone speaking Spanish, then the next day it’s anyone who is in possession of a Quran, and the next day will be political enemies regardless of legal status or race.
That’s where we are heading. And they know it, and want the fight so that they can finally implement martial law and impose a new American monarchy complete with serfdoms and fiefdoms.
It wouldn’t be the Trump administration if they weren’t helping rapists and pedophiles.
That’s who they are at their core.

We now have a secret police force, targeting people for their ethnicities and sending them to camps that concentrate the population???? How soon until they start forcing these innocent people into working the farming and factory jobs they were removed from, but now in captivity?

Considering ICE are criminals who may or may not also be drug or human traffickers themselves (or at least are supportive of them and their actions just to piss people off), this isn’t a huge shock.
Yeah, god forbid we address homelessness, fentanyl crisis, human trafficking with $150B. Instead all those farm workers, landscapers and construction workers making poverty wages while doing backbreaking work need to be punished violently.
What is the end-game here? An empty country? A country no one wants to visit? When they run out of immigrants to hunt, they’ll come for the rest of us.

Racism takes precedence for republicans
ICE itself is partaking in human trafficking. Why would they want to stop it? It’s a fascist organization that intentionally hires the worst people imaginable to work for it (police rejects, insurrectionists, bounty hunters, proud boys and other white supremacists, etc). They’re disappearing people without due process, intentionally mistreating them in detention centers, and also sending some to nations with active slave trades and/or wars and/or concentration camps (though we have our own camps too now). They’re sending people to nations that our own government advises people not to visit, because they’re too dangerous. The cruelty is the point. ICE is an enemy of the American people, and the free world.
