    1. > „I Am Legend never tested well because we killed Sam. People walk out when that dog dies,“ Goldsman told The Hollywood Reporter. „And I get it. I love dogs. Never more walkouts in anything I’ve done than when that dog died.“

    2. What? The dog dies in the movie?? Wtf I was just about to watch it for the first time I cant watch it now. I hate seeing dogs die on film. Guess I’ll have to go to my second option for the night this movie called Marley and Me? I heard the dog is crazy in there! Can’t wait to watch it.

    3. I’m planning on rewatching this movie just to check off on one of my letterboxd lists but I’ve been holding off just because of that scene.

Like a lot of people, I only went to see I Am Legend (2007) in IMAX so I could see the opening heist scene of The Dark Knight (2008).

Which in my memory just so happened to be the same day Heath Ledger died: Got home from the theater and learned of it.

(Also got Earth Defense Force: 2017 for the 360 that day.)

Went to go see this movie with my mom. I remember an older couple walking into the movie like 10 minutes before the dog dies, but when he did they got up immediately and walked out.

It was one of the weirdest things I’ve seen at a theater. I was first looking at them coming thinking you missed like half of the movie why even bother, then like 10 mins later they are walking out lol.

The book is miles better than the movie, to the point where i feel like they didn’t fully understand what the book was about…

My sister and I went to see I am legend in the theatre and learned that we both laugh uncontrollably as a trauma response. The looks we got from people made us shrink into our seats and we both went to therapy after. discovering that it’s called Pseudobulbar Affect (PBA) which can be a trauma response/ coping mechanism.

    8. I saw a Robert de Niro movie called What Happens Next and they flat out say no dog deaths in movies unless you want a bad score. Guaranteed way to get people to hate your movie

    9. Just think if people did this for John Wick. You have missed a great movie
