Ironic… He could save others from unemployment but not himself

Work oriented social media systems being profit driven into obsolescence. Soon posts about only nazi jobs at DHS and nothing else.

Not surprised but these websites are garbage anyway

The metadata each sells and markets B to B is far greater than most people realize. The info you post on each is the product they sell. It’s how mid-large companies do comp analysis by market when posting for roles ensuring they aren’t paying too much (or in some rarer cases too little).
That each is doing such layoffs also means there’s likely a larger downturn in the labor market more broadly which isn’t encouraging.

Submission Statement:
Recruit Holdings is laying off 1,300 people while merging Glassdoor into Indeed and going all-in on AI. That includes gutting their own HR and sustainability teams—exactly the kind of departments you’d think they’d protect if they actually gave a damn about long-term values or people.
They’re claiming AI helps someone get hired every 2.2 seconds, but if these tools end up replacing human judgment altogether, what happens to things like transparency, worker reviews, or hiring fairness?
Glassdoor was supposed to help workers see behind the corporate curtain. Now it’s getting swallowed up by the very machine that’s automating people out of the picture.
What kind of job market are we walking into when the platforms meant to empower workers are being streamlined into AI-powered ad engines?

People started with „AI won’t replace jobs, it’s too dumb“ reactions.
After 1-2 years, AI is replacing some basic jobs for real, and we are at: „Anyway that product/website is garbage“ reactions.
The disruption of the next step will be tough…
