Tbf I laughed back then too.
In all fairness it was a silly movie when it came out.
Honestly, I think it’s relatively solid sans a few moments (“WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?” Lame killer reveal. Etc.). The sequel is an abomination, though, but not one you can laugh through. Quite the opposite
While I feel reluctant to bring up Helen’s chase scene because slasher fans won’t STFU about it… said Chase is genuinely pretty elite and suspenseful and absolutely holds up just fine
