I’d really like to claim the benefit of never hearing another word she says. It’s not **that** easy.

Is she aware that those with limited leave cannot access sickness benefits, and those with indefinite leave have already paid into the system for at least 5 years, especially considering the 5-figure sum they have paid to the Home Office in addition to the tax system?

I have rheumatoid athritus goute thyroid problems sciatica ulnar nerve damage and yet I still work 90 hours a week because when I went sick and trick to ask for help due to not being able to keep a job they scrutinised me, ridiculed me into shame and so I jave to tale 5 times over the limit of my painkillers to get through my shifts and im still in agony. I cant describe the pain and the anxiety it causes. But id rather work myself into a early grave than be at the mercy of „benefits“ …too easy to claim …I got nothing

I do think it’s outrageous that some people in Britain are raking it in without working or contributing to society.

Landlords, shareholders. About time they got off their arses and worked for a living rather than sponging off other’s hard work.

Literally every co plaint they have is easily slapped down with „you had fucking ages to sort that and didn’t, stop pretending you care about it.“

There’s no way she is taking the Tory’s into the next GE. After next year’s locals she is being replaced for sure. Even for the conservatives she’s scraping the bottom of the barrel

It’s always difficult listening to an immigrant telling us how bad immigration is

It’s easy to do a lot of things in the uk, it’s easy to exploit the system so you don’t pay your fair share or hoard resources that are a necessity. However, guess those aren’t important even though they’re clearly detrimental to the country. Benefits which is proven time and time again, that the amount it cost to police isn’t worth as much as the people who are exploiting that system are always the easy target. Just to make the everyday person struggle, while the elite can get off exploiting the country and people.

I think it should be illegal to say „It’s too easy to claim benefits“ if you have never yourself claimed benefits and the punishment for breaking the law should be getting laughed out the building immediately upon saying it.

Why are we even listening to anything her or the Tories have to say? They are completely irrelevant as a political party and will soon be gone for good.

What seems to be too easy is to become Tory leader without having any particular skills for the job.

It’s too easy to become leader of the Conservative Party too, if some of the last several have been anything to go by, but here we are.

I had to help a relative apply for dla. We had to collect evidence from every state, educational and healthcare body they’d ever dealt with and fill out a colossal form of 20 somethings pages of ambiguously worded questions. it was anything but easy.

Disability benefits for those who have British citizenship only. Fantastic. Because refugees are famously always in very good health, both mentally and physically, with all of their limbs intact. We don’t have enough homeless on the streets apparently.

Great way to have more people working through and masking mental health breakdowns – that never spirals and goes seriously wrong in any way.

She’s a delight.

ETA: I used to work in a special school. Met a lot of foreign nationals who *only* came to the UK because their child couldn’t get their needs met in their home countries. Autism is a big one that just isn’t understood. I hope she isn’t lumping in DLA in her posturing – that would be devastating for so many vulnerable families.

How can she bare faced lie about how the system works? IMMIGRANTS CANNOT CLAIM BENEFITS. It is literally impossible. There are no exceptions. This applies to students, asylum seekers, tourists, and any other type of migrant you can think of.

The only people who can claim benefits are British nationals, those with indefinite leave to remain and maybe some work visa categories, which is essentially the path to citizenship. There may be others I’m unaware of but the fact of the matter is these people she’s describing CANNOT CLAIM BENEFITS!!!

Also, I’m fed up of having *my own safety net* villainised. I might need it soon and I would rather not have to navigate a kafka-esque system just to claim what is rightfully mine and what *I have already paid for*. Can’t this inhuman cow just fuck off?

She’d know about it. After all, it’s not by merit that she’s the Tory leader.

My and many other people’s claim for PIP due to mental illness under the tories was a complete sham.
It was undertaken by a junior nurse who had no experience of mental illness.
She wanted to play a numbers game.
E.g. „How many times a week.“
“ Not at all when I’m so depressed I cannot get out of bed.“
Was not a good enough answer.

She seems to have a problem with Motability yet refuses to cite sources for her claims. On a personal note, the motability scheme has been great for 63 year old disabled mum who’s entirely reliant on her car to carry out basic tasks like running errands. I usually help her but there are times when I’m busy so it’s nice for her to have her independence. There is no way that “people with drink, drug problems or food intolerances get a free car” I have high functioning autism and can’t even get a motability car and the fact she’s saying that is laughable. I agree that people who commit benefit fraud (which is an incredibly small percentage) should be arrested and sent to prison but vilifying low income people, mums and those with invisible disabilities with labels like “scroungers” is counterproductive and comments like that are hurtful. I’ve heard more than my fair share of them despite being unable to work and claiming PIP (well used to be DLA when I was younger and my mum got it for my needs but it’s essentially the same thing) since I was 11. The real problem are the super rich, NIMBY’s, landlords (some people are actually all three) and corporations who leech billions from society every single year. They need to be taxed and regulated much more than they currently are but of course the current “Labour” government (who are really just Tories in red with regard to their current policies and stances. I miss Corbyn and when the party actually stood up for the working class) won’t even touch them with a ten foot pole.

Do these politicians really have no other suggestions to improving the state of the country than targeting people on benefits?!

They won’t stop till entite homeless families are camped out on your front lawn amd living on railway platforms. Whilst people with severe mental illness chase you down the street but u can’t run because of all the super processed crap you’ve eaten. So the US in other words

Always belittling the benefit receivers who are on a pittance compared to MPs and their expenses.
