Here’s the Geneva convention definition of genocide which is the original and standing legal definition.
In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
Killing members of the group;
Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

Other groups who have been genocided are quite vocal about calling what Israel does in Gaza a genocide.

There are actually a lot of holocaust survivors who have been calling what’s happening in Gaza and Palestine a genocide.
I would recommend a read of *The Holocaust Industry by Norman Finkelstein* to understand this.
One takeaway from the book is while there were six holocausts in that century and the Nazi holocaust was not the worst one, after 1965, the powerful lobbying groups were able to change the discourse so it is not just ‚The Holocaust‘ like there was only one and that one.
