    1. Describing this as a Greek tragedy is just too easy.

      And yet, it’s appropriate.

Run with that one, Dems. CNN will like the soundbite. Say it with mockery.

Ted Cruz gives off huge pushing in front of women and children in order to escape the Titanic energy.

Don’t knock Ted. This was a working vacation. He was studying the conditions that led to the fall of democracy in ancient Greece, and brainstorming how best to implement in present day US.

Even the Parthenon has more of a roof than the houses of the constituents Ted Cruz abandoned.

I guess he just really lives to see the ruins of the symbols of democratic institutions.

He may not have realized that other people cant just stick to a flat surface using their mucus and slither out of the water like Ted and other slugs can do.

If it was a flood of salt he would’ve taken it more seriously.

    6. I grew up in Texas. I’ve always been taught a man, takes responsibility for his actions and does not shirk his duty. I have no idea how an everyday Texan allows and accepts that the person representing them is not a man.

    7. Texans need a Ted Cruz trip advisor app to guard themselves for future disasters.

Europe? MAGA? What will the excuse be? Plotting to supporr right wings there?

    9. “If you’ve seen one set of ruins you’ve seen them all.” —Ted probably

I love that someone saw him called him out on *in Greece*. Bastard couldn’t even enjoy his willful neglect of his constituents.

    11. Well, I mean, he might have to wait another 6 or 8 months before Texas has another emergency. He can’t wait until then to see a structure that has been there for 2000 years

I mean, do people really expect Ted Cruz being on the scene to actually help anything in a disaster? Better if he just stayed on vacay IMO.

    13. Is “Ted Cruz on vacation” an ominous sign Texas is gonna suffer some calamity beyond comprehension?
Nostradamus might have an entry about a US politician being the harbinger of natural disasters

    14. “Well I’ve already paid for this, so I’ll head out after. Well, wait we have dinner reservations too, don’t we? We’ll find a flight in the morning.

    15. Well he was there & he already had tickets & everything. The disaster had already happened, the people are already dead it’s not like he can bring them back to life or anything. I mean what is a man to do? It would be a shame for him to make such a huge sacrifice like this, to come home early to this huge disaster & miss seeing the Parthenon would be sooo unfair to him. We liberals can be so cold hearted.

**this is sarcasm for those who don’t get it**

Like Elaine stopping off for Jujyfruits after learning her boyfriend Jake was in the hospital.

      Fuck Rafael Cruz.

    17. I sincerely mean this: fuck this guy. But, I would have done the same thing if I was right there. Still, his *checks notes* entire history up until this moment shows that he’s an asshole worthy of our disdain
