Something Don didn’t touch upon, at least as far as I skimmed over their writings, is that many of these people are coming here due to climate reasons, not just economic purely as would be usually thought to be the case.
We are getting people mostly from countries that are slowly feeling the brunt of global climate change, and Canada is one of the last best places to be in when everything else gets hotter and hotter. We also have the land available to fit a lot of them, just not the infrastructure to support it yet. Russia is in a similar boat, sort of. Not in that people move there in droves, yet, but in how they have massive swaths of very usable land, that will remain liveable longer than those places nearer to the equator getting the worst of it.
I bring this up, because as I suspected, Don pointed out the increases from 2014/15 onwards, which is also roughly the point in time where we started to get a global media effort pointing out that there will be increased migration due to climate change in those areas. Coincidence? Not at all.
What this basically means is that unless we had gone down the correct path of tightening our borders, we were going to see a huge influx of immigrants even if we didn’t cater to the universities gluttonous greed for international students money. But instead, we doubled down, and so we got the results that come with that.
We tried to warn you all, that this sort of thing would happen. But anything anti-immigration was still considered racism to those who had not yet learned that reality doesn’t give a flying fuck about their feelings and opinions.
And now they are witnessing how wrong they were too.
I only hope that if there is a repeat of this whole scenario in the future, that folk will mostly remember what happened last time, and properly teach the newer generations what happens when you listen to idiots.
But alas, history has a tendency to repeat itself, since people tend to forget that yes, some people are just downright fucking stupid all while seeming intelligent for the time.
Get used to current situation folks. It isn’t going to change much until we globally get a handle on keeping things liveable in those less fortunate countries.
That won’t be happening any time soon. Try decades.

It was simply to ensure non of our six banks heavily invested on Real Estate collapse! The unsustainable immigration not only helped speculative investors but also provided cheap labor to both small and private medium size businesses and large corporations. Small and Medium size businesses specifically were able to make 100s of 1000s of dollars by recruiting way more TFWs in their restaurants ans store than it could handle. Some businesses were able to sell so many LMIAs in Alberta that they are unable to provide nowhere close to required work hours. Federal government rubber stamping every LMIA application without even verifying if their businesses can even staff so many TFWs was mind boggling! Were they encouraging small and medium private businesses to actually commit these scams?
