I guess some people re against it as it’s an „unfair“ way of hunting?
I don’t know why it would be more fair to use only a gun and camouflage.
Or is something else the issue?
Silencers aren’t like those you see on TV or movies. Those also kinda exist with subsonic bullets, but those are, to my knowledge, not available to „regular“ folk and hunters.
Silencers can make the noise level from hearing damage to still loud but not as damaging. Even the simple standard difuser already does a lot.
Stood next to a guy with an AR-15 at a range who took of the gas difuser from his gun, sounded like a cannon.
That politicians are safe even if most of them are like wild boars in a China shop: clumsy, ravenous, and blind to the damage they cause – as long as their bellies are full.
It’ll no doubt end up being used against other animals too. And I don’t buy into all that romantic talk about hunting – if you need all those high-tech gadgets, how “fair” or noble is it really?

Everzwijnstoofvlees (met Geuze) is underrated net zoals een everzwijnbout boven een open vuur of gewoon in de oven. Ook heel lekker in de zomer.
Hunters really are just a bunch of cowards thinking they are great at a sport that is anything but. Is there anything more unsportsmanlike than killing an animal from afar that does not even has the opportunity to defend itself?
Now they are making it even easier. It disgusts me.
My opinion. Nothing will change for non hunters. Wild boar will be regulated more efficiently. Less dangerous to shoot at night, for there are less people outdoors. Less gardens destroyed. Less crops destroyed. Less sound pollution. Less hearing damage for hunters. Positive for everyone.
People that have a problem with this are not against silencers and night vision, but against hunters. They can’t stand other people being able to afford something they can’t.
Finally, not having them is more damaging to nature and the safety of the hunters (ear damage) this doesn’t give an edge in hunting and isn’t the military grade subsonics
Why dont they just ask Obelix, are they stupid?
