Der Ex-CBC-Moderator Travis Dhanraj sagt, er sei „gezwungen, zurückzutreten“, Slams öffentlicher Sender in All-Staff-E-Mail

[As reported elsewhere](https://winnipegsun.com/news/prominent-cbc-journalist-off-air-in-alleged-spat-over-balanced-reporting), Dhanraj faced ongoing issues in his attempts to bring „*diversity of thought*“ to the CBC:

>“However, due to ongoing systemic issues, he has been compelled to step away for a time. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Dhanraj has fought to break down barriers in order to foster diversity of thought, inclusion of all political perspectives and equity principles he believes are essential for improving CBC’s workplace culture and content.”

It came to a head when he wanted to interview the head of the CBC as part of a Canada Tonight report:

The comment itself *tacitly* alleges that the CBC is covering something up; and not simply that Tait may not have had room in her schedule *on a Friday afternoon*. I know when I book meetings I need to give even individual contributors at least 24 hours lead time.

As for the request for an NDA, presumably the CBC wasn’t keen on engaging in an investigation with the threat of Dhanraj posting the proceedings online.

It reads to me like he was simply a *toxic employee* and found barriers placed in his way as a result. As with many *toxic employees* he viewed those barriers as evidence of a toxic workplace, and not as a reflection of their own behaviour. I can’t help but reflect on a number of peers and subordinates I’ve had over the years who lacked any capacity to hold themselves accountable.
