If only we had a national service that helped warn us about the weather….what would we even call such a thing????

    2. ElectricalFinance963 on

Not really a claim, it takes two seconds to find out who voted to defund the weather peoples.

I haven’t forgotten how Ted Cruz callously voted against aid for New York when Superstorm Sandy hit. He should be reminded every time he’s asked anything by the media.

    4. A better system built by his „friends“ who can benefit from it. All these people are ghouls.

    5. While counties in Texas had been warned about needing more sensors and better automated warning systems (not just phone messages from the NWS), but ignored it because of money you had Ted Cruz decide the best way to get taxpayer money to Texas wasn’t to address these issues.

It was to take $85 million of US taxpayer money in the current budge reconciliation so the fucking space shuttle Discovery could move from DC to Houston. That’s where his priorities were and always have been.

Energy grid, school shootings, flooding, whatever. All problems ignored.

    6. He’s also vacationing in Europe. Always out of office when he’s needed

And he’s vacationing in Europe instead of being present in his home state in the midst of a deadly crisis.

What’s he going to do? Throw a fat contract at some rich bastard so they can make a subscription service?

    9. PowderPills on

Wow it really is as bad as people say. I mean, I already knew, but wow it’s surreal to watch in realtime time and time again.

Will Texans vote to keep these same ghouls in power and continue getting slammed by storms again and again? Yes, yes they will.

    10. The only system that’s going to work is to phrase out fossil fuels to curb climate change. Do the math Ted.

They “want a better system” until they see how much that system costs. Then theyll slowly go silent on the issue until people forget. And of course theyll never get it, because your gop/libertarian government only wants to spend money on the military police now.

    12. Malapropser on

Now they are going to try to privatize the service and charge 10x more for a service that doesn’t work as well as what we used to have.

Republicans have priorities: feed the rich, starve the rest of us. Republican austerity kills and they know it.

    14. Turbulent-Bag8436 on

Vote this ugly mother fucker out already. Tire of his voices and his shitty policies.

    15. Sure_Quality5354 on

And this is why not paying attention to politics is literally killing us. When people dont know who is responsible for what, any person can just claim something and it will be assumed as true.

I had a friend telling me of all the cuts. Issues with funding and losing people. Yet, I saw an article on this and some MAGA were talking about how liberals were making it up. That no cuts have happened yet. That Biden’s budget is still running it and how he is the one causing all this. Going on about how this shows that the coming cuts, like they have not happened yet, are needed because the agency they were on about (NOAA) was a liberal train wreck.

What fucking gets me is that these people that keep voting for these liars. They will lie and then when things go to shit they blame liberals and Democrats. Every time.

I am sure a private company will soon be offering a paid subscription to weather information and alerts.

      Yet another rip-off scam.

Destroying a government program that has functioned well for many years so a private company can take over and make a profit.

    18. cleodivina6 on

Politicians cut funding for stuff, then when it falls apart they act shocked and say we need a better system.

    19. Yet another failure of Texas government that will be ignored. Texas citizens, you deserve better

    20. TheBigIdiotSalami on

It’s amazing to me he hasn’t gotten to play baseball with his constituents yet.

Ted’s system is just to goto Cancun when there is a disaster in his home state

    22. Being part of Trump’s Republican party, you seriously have to question whether or not Cancun Cruz was even legitimately elected. He’s clearly never concerned with the well-being of Texans, he belongs to a party that is rife with election cheats and criminals, he is always out of his depth. He does not appear to be a person who is legitimately trying to do the job he was „elected“ to do.

Why don’t you go look for your chin hair, Rafael? I’ll give you a hint it’s on trump’s ass.
