In the fifth grade I was an advanced reader. Took out IT. I’m not saying it shouldn’t be in there, I am saying it wasn’t age level appropriate. It also cemented my love of reading even more.
Conversations about „age appropriate“ stuff in 2025 with unlimited access to basically whatever you want just a google search away is so silly.
But of course, as the article points out, it has nothing to do with „age appropriate“ it’s just having a go at the LGBT community.
