Extremely unlikely. If it were true why spend 4 years making up the Russia hoax, then spend several more years prosecuting him „inflating asset value on a loan“ (something every developer from single family homes to sky scrapers does). Why go after things ranging from „completely made up“ too „not really a crime“ when they had this sitting there the entire time.
If the Federal Government had this there is a 0% chance we’d just be finding out about it now.

Epstein was a designation – like 007. There has always been an Epstein. There will always be an Epstein. His arrest did absolutely nothing to affect the infrastructure or operational capabilities of the network.
Has anyone else pointed out that both names are connected through etymology? Maxwell – stream, well, spring. Epstein – water, stone (hill). So “maxwellhill” is a combination of their names.
