What a shame, if only trump had said repeatedly he was going to deport non-americans repeatedly over his campaign.

Oh spare me these stories of regretful voters.

They’ll walk into a voting booth next year and vote for anyone Trump tells them to again without hesitation.

Didn’t even read the article so if I missed something I should have read, well, sorry. This response is solely based on the headline. But if you voted for a dick like Trump then how can you have been so stupid? One time Republican here but there was no way in hell I will ever vote the likes of Trump. Same with my wife. Will I ever vote R again? Not sure but I know for a fact if I see anything similar to what we’re seeing now then the answer is absolutely not.

Given she was deported once and sneaked back into the country what did she expect. As per the article Biden even gave her temp status. You cannot fix stupid.

Great example of the GOP’s superpower: getting people to vote against their interests.

I only meant for Trump to harass and abuse others, not me and my family say all the Trump Voters as if they are unaware of history….

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
      Then they came for me
And there was no one left
      To speak out for me

      >Francisco Olivera, for his part, summed up his and his wife’s disillusion by saying: “My wife … up until [a couple of weeks] ago, was a strong believer in what was going to happen the next four years.”

So she was happy for **other people** to get deported, and didn’t think the same process would apply to her. I have no sympathy.

      >“The US is my country,” Olivera remarked to the station in an interview published on 3 July. “That’s where I met my husband. That’s where I went to high school, junior high, elementary [school]. That’s where I had my kids.”

And **other people**, who she was happy to get deported, aren’t people who have also grown up in the USA?

    8. Stupid is as stupid does. I’m so happy for you , you are getting exactly what you voted for.

Seen it a dozen times already, even these guys who’s wives have been arrested, when asked if they still support Trump the answer is always yes

Its baked into their DNA now. It’s completely tribal. There’s no going back

    10. Optimism_Deficit on

Ah yes, his wife has a shaky immigration status, so obviously, he voted for the guy who repeatedly made a point about how he was going to crack down on immigrants.

Now he’s pissing and moaning because Trump did the thing he wanted to happen to other people to his own family.

Why do these people always think they’ll be an exception?

People who voted for the Face-eating Leopard Party: „I didn’t think the leopards were going to eat *my* face!“

    12. _SolidarityForever_ on

The constant focusing on the victims of trumps policies only being potrayed by trump voters is a tactic to supress sympathy by framing the effects as largely self destructive and not the reality, of the overwhelming majority of people being hurt are completely innocent victims of the fascist regime currently terrorising america.

    13. I thought the leopards would be full by now. Looks like they are just getting started.

Oh Ms. Olivera, don’t cry. This is what you voted for. Now look at the bright side Memaw will be held at Alligator Alcatraz. What elderly person doesn’t want to visit Florida? Now she gets to live there. Now stop the tears, it was fine for all those other people, right? So, what could be better for your family. Good luck Ms. Olivera and if I send you a few dollars can you send me a key chain from the gift shop. I hear they have a little plastic alligator with a finger in its mouth. I’d like that one please. Thank you in advance and best Republican wishes, it seems they’re coming true.

    15. The essential thing that needs to be stressed is that their was a bipartisan bill in Congress that would have gone a long, long way towards fixing our immigration problems (remember the „Dreamers“?). Trump and his supporters killed the bill so he could campaign on the problem he blocked solving. This whole situation is a deliberate plot by Trump and his supporters. MAGA people are evil and need to be stopped.

    16. Timely_Assumption556 on

Who knew that voting for a fascist would result in a fascist regime?

    17. „Oh noes they were only supposed to break up those other families, not us! Can’t you see we’re the good ones?“

    18. >By 1999, when she was about 19, [US immigration](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/usimmigration) officials at the Buffalo border crossing had determined Olivera was living in the country without legal status and obtained an expedited order to deport her. *But, after being deported, she was able to return to the US by driving to San Diego from Mexico within a few months.*

The finding out always comes after the fucking around. Idiot. I have no sympathy.

    19. You.Voted.For.This. Dear Leader said he would do this. You voted FOR IT.

And now, we all suffer because of your poor choices. It was your MAGA movement that put ALL OF THIS in motion. The MAGAs in the House, the MAGAs in the Senate, Dear Leader Kim Don Ump in the oval. Virtually unchecked power now. To do whatever they want, including deporting your Canadian wife. Cry me a river, bud. You’ll get no sympathy from me.

If you want to atone, promise to never vote R (aka MAGA) again as punishment for their betrayal to American values. Anywhere. Any office. Apologize to your kids. Explain to them how you made a mistake and now, Mommy has been deported by the bad man in the White House. Disavow your loyalty, speak out against Dear Leader’s tyranny. Take down your Trump flags. Complain publicly to your MAGA friends. Defend your wife. Will you?

They can EAT their vote. We do not let these folks evade the Dildo of Consequence.

    21. Regardless of what they say, it’s difficult for me to believe they wouldn’t still vote the same way. Owning the libs and hurting others is just too important to MAGA.
