For anyone wondering about how feasible the mandate is: Norway already did it.
96.4% of all new vehicles sold are EVs.
There are more EVs than ICEVs on the road there now.
Even with the average Norwegian commute being longer than the average Canadian commute, Norwegians still largely prefer EVs.
