Idk but use some vinegar and alcohol on that baby and it might be gone

    2. Yes, they can charge cleaning costs. Ask them for advice on cleaning materials.

Also… Is that not mold, all that black stuff?

Get some tools , some sanitary silicone and do it yourself. Its a 30 minute job!

When did the landlord last renew the silicone? Long ago? No receipt? Landlord problem. The landlord needs to renew them.

It’s not your task to do that. You would take on the risk if you do it and it isn’t good.

      Landlord has recent receipt? Complicated.

    5. Try chlorine bleach. It’s bad for the environment but it works like magic. You may not even need to scrub much. The fumes are horrible so ventilate very well.

    6. The joints between the tiles can be cleaned with a chlorine-based anti-mould cleaner and an old toothbrush.
Make sure the room is properly ventilated.

You can avoid build-up by regular cleaning with normal cleaner and by using a squeegee after shower.

The silicone joints are gone and need replacing. The mould is already too deep in the siliicone. Replacing the silicone joint is usually the landlord’s responsibility. You could do it yourself, it’s not a difficult job and silicone is not that expensive. Just make sure it is mould resistant (special silicone for bathrooms).

The only way to prevent mould in silicone is to dry the silicone joints after every use. You can extend the silicone’s lifetime by using the anti-mould cleaner (or bleach) right when you see the first signs of mould.
