      Don’t forget the part about giving ICE more money than the entire military budget of Russia and earmarking $45B for building concentration camps. I feel like that’s at least as big a deal as the other things.

      So republicans lied about not touching Medicare and they lied about caring about the debt.
      Shocker , they are all hypocrites.

      The thing is, most of these cuts won’t fully go into effect until after the midterms.

      If Dems by some miracle take Congress back , republicans are just going to blame Dems for the fallout of this bill

      How can any sane, moral or decent person support this bill?

      It is evil and cruel beyond belief. It needlessly helps the already wealthy while hurting millions of people, including some of the poorest in society.

      There is nothing big or beautiful about it. It is small-minded and ugly. You would have to be off-the-scale evil and cruel to endorse a piece of legislation as hurtful and nasty as this.

      If a president cut spending to zero out the deficit it would be a disaster…but at least you could see the thinking.

      If they did so while raising taxes on the wealthy you could even get behind it depending on what we cut.

      Cutting the things the poorest desperately rely on, while giving the wealthiest a tax break and blowing up our deficit? That takes a special kind of dumb. Along with anyone supporting it.

      Republicans are much, much smarter at politics than we give them credit for. They got everything they want and deferred the bad stuff until after the midterms. The democrats will suffer from this and republicans will continue to win elections

      ICE is going to be Trump’s brown shirts. They will be the ones he uses when he finally openly admits his desire to be a dictator.

      This is not hyperbole. Everything he’s done since taking office has been exactly what a wannabe American Hitler would do.

      There’s nothing to stop him. Congress and SCOTUS are corrupt and/or Trump lap dogs. Not only that, they’ve handed him greatly expanded executive powers and will continue to do so until he doesn’t even need them.

      The only real thing that could stop him are the people, but sadly despite totalitarianism staring them in the face, they aren’t willing to do more than just a day or two of protests. At this point I think Trump could announce an end to all future elections and people would still sit at home doing nothing.

      How far are we going to let this go?

      REPUBLICANS massively increase the national debt. REPUBLICANS massively slash funding for social safety nets. REPUBLICANS slash funding for school, research, grants, parks, NASA, NOAA. REPUBLICANS waste taxpayer money to give the wealthiest tax breaks.
