This is just the result of several decades of underfunding public education. Schools can have the capacity of having machine and auto shops, effective science education, gardening programs, etc. Yet often it seems like people who complain that these things aren’t available like in this dumb photo are the same people who vote for politicians who gut education funding. Schools now teach to the lowest common denominator in order to push kids through the system to check boxes for funding because that’s how schools survive.
