Well yeah that was only trumps marketing scheme. I mean mitt Romney all but said it.

    2. From reporter Paul Blumenthal:

The passage of President Donald Trump’s massive budget bill that slashes taxes for the rich, raises them for the poor and cuts health care for millions should put to rest long-running commentary that Trump is remaking the Republican Party into a working-class party.

This is the same old agenda championed by Republicans for decades. Every GOP presidential administration has successfully enacted regressive tax cuts for the wealthiest. Trump has done that again, only this time, taxes will also go up for the poorest.

What’s different this time? Republicans finally took health care away from millions of Americans after trying and failing numerous times over the years.

    3. People are dumb if you didn’t know this. Republican’s and Trump hate workers. They hate unions. They are for the rich and the wealthy corporations.

Tax the rich. Stop watching propaganda like Fox news. The rich have bought the Republicans and they are now slashing and burning the part of the government that the workers need. They are not going to fix Social Security. They want us to work until we die.

If you didn’t vote in the last election, big mistake. We may get another chance to fix this in the election next year. Vote.

    4. nonamenolastname on

Maybe, but since the (stupid) majority of the working class voted GOP, it is the party OF the working class.

    5. Ask a Republican voter who counts as working class and you’ll see what that is really about.

    6. BioticVessel on

It took long enough for you people to figure that out! Yes, sure they hype that they’re for the working person. But just look at what they do, now forget the hype and look again.

    7. Genius-Imbecile on

I figured that out in the 80s with Reagan’s trickle down economics bullshit.

    8. Repulsive_Side2492 on

They are, it just confirms how stupid and low IQ the American working class is.

    9. Cobra-Lalalalalalala on

Anybody who ever said otherwise is either stupid or lying. No in-between, no exceptions.

    10. IntelligentStyle402 on

Never has been! Who really doesn’t know that? Oh that’s right, mega’s don’t know that?

    11. I think that answer belongs to the majority of working class Americans that did vote for Trump.

    12. No fucking duh! If they didn’t know already, they’re about to find out.

Or not. These assholes will probably be in the bread line grumbling about minorities, trans people, and Hillary Clinton

    13. They’ve never been a working class party. Opposed Social Security. Opposed Medicare. Opposed Medicaid. Opposed the GI Bill. Opposed SNAP. Opposed Pell Grants. Anything that actually helps middle class Americans, they’ve historically been against. Democrats championed all of those.

Thanks HuffPost, 50 millennials just had aneurysms from screaming “no shit!” too hard

    15. Tiny_Lobster_7619 on

It’s official, I’ve made a useless conclusion after years of helping lead Americans to this conclusion

    16. craniumcanyon on

Agreed, now convince their voters of this, because right now they are like circus seals in MAGA hats clapping for their big beautiful bill fish.

    17. Maximum_District1959 on

It never has been and the only people who thought it was were dumb af.

    18. No shit. America doesn’t have a working class party. Its never had a dedicated labour party and the last time any of its parties was remotely focused on the working class was in the 1930s.

The Republicans are right wing loons. But the Democrats are centre right by the measure of any other country.

Neither party is offering anything substantial to the working class, which is why the Republican can appeal to them based on culture wars nonsense – and will presumably continue to do so with success whilst there is no-one offering meaningful help to the working class.

    19. Doesn’t matter. They will never cede power. Minority rule is upon us and there’s no way out.

    20. HonoredPeople on

      Official?

That’s been true since, what? Reagan? At least. They’ve never really be the working-class party. So, it’s not really official by any means. You cannot be something you never happened to be.

      Republicans are about 1 thing.

      Greed.

    21. astrozombie2012 on

They literally never have been… all my life the democrats have been the only party to even address the needs of the working class. I don’t know how people got tricked into believing this horse shit lie all these years.

    22. Kooky_Heart3042 on

its the party of the gullible, and easily led, short sighted and self righteous people stuck in a timeless fantasy world that everything and everyone that’s different and not beneficial to their scheming is expendable. kinda like a really bad game/reality show

    23. Frankie6Strings on

At this point they’re not a political party at all. They’re a cult.

    24. Since when, in the last 70 years of gop history, have they EVER been? Why is conservative propaganda so deng effective? Makes me so mad..

    25. SmoothJazziz1 on

GOP: In service of Billionaires, Bombs, Bullets and Bibles – nothing more, nothing less.

    26. Grand_elf_the_white on

This was always official. The people who got duped into thinking it was should absolutely feel as stupid as they are.

    27. PatchyWhiskers on

The only thing the Republicans have in common with working class people is hating immigrants.

    28. ChanceryTheRapper on

So nothing has changed from the past several years, except they’ve stopped pretending.

    29. But to the right, „working class“ refers to a boat dealership owner who drives an $80k oversized pigup truck.

    30. RadicalAppalachian on

      Never has been. That’s obvious.

      Anyways, the democrats aren’t either.

    31. Highthere_90 on

If you only found out now you haven’t been paying attention for the past 40 or 50 years

    32. The GOP isn’t the Nazi party either, but it’s the party most favored by Nazis. Kinda the same thing.
