      I know this is meant to be some sort of „Gotcha“ article that’s empty of value, and who am I to disagree?

      But I also think she’s not exactly wrong.

      Ya. No way in God’s green fuck am I going to America for anything. I applied for a visa like 15 years ago and was denied (company messed up the paperwork). I was flagged for 5 years crossing the border because of it, dragged into secondary, questioned (usually berated) and released after anywhere between 10 minutes and two hours. I’m certain when they widen their net, I’d be at the very least detained, if not worse.

      Not going to happen. Same goes for the World Cup. But one thing is for sure, if I were a foreigner, especially a non-white foreigner, there’s no way I’d consider going to America for either event.

      I don’t disagree with the words, but not in practice and who the hell cares what Patricia arquette says and who is she to say shit!!! Edit: I just looked her up and I guess she has worked, but she is not relevant and hasn’t been in forever

      You can’t exactly feel comfortable going to the Olympics or the World Cup with everything going on right now. I know it’ll would take something extraordinary for either to be canceled. At least remain vigilant at all times. Who knows what could happen on any given day.

      I mean, the 1936 Olympics were held in Berlin. So, I doubt it will be cancelled.

      Do NOT travel to the US. It is NOT safe. The World Cup, the Olympics, and many other international sporting and entertainment events need to be 100% boycotted.

      The 1936 Olympics happened in Germany during Hitler’s reign, and he used it to promote Nazism to the world. Trump could use the 2028 Olympics to promote MAGA and his hate of immigrants (particularly Mexicans) to the world. But also, Trump would prob describe LA as a “democrat shithole” so who knows

      Sorry but I’m LMAO at people thinking the Olympics are even considering to think about maybe discussing the remote possibility of canceling or relocating. The Olympics were held in Berlin in 1936 and Russia in 1980. 

      The IOC is historically one of the most corrupt and morally bankrupt organizations in the history of the world. They DGAF.

      Same goes for the World Cup, which just held its last event in Qatar (not a beacon of civil rights) in stadiums built by literal slave labor.

      If they do cancel the olympics, trump and his goons will just announce their own and call it something dumb like the U.S.Lympics or Alympics (A for America, but this one might be too clever for them honestly)

      The problem is not ICE is actively evil. They are just large, incompetent and unaccountable, and that is way more scary. They don’t want to kill you, BUT…
      You „matched the description“ of a guy.
      They have never seen your type of passport before, and there is a backlog passport verification.
      They confiscated the drug you needed as potential contraband. there is a backlog on testing.
      there is no proper procedure for what to do in health emergencies.

      Next things your know, you are dead, but you are 1 of 200 people died in detention that month. and they will take 2 years in investigate the incident.

      Shit like this has already happened. Why would you take that risk.
