When you’re planning to start deporting US citizens, you’ll need military type funding.

People act like a Trump dictatorship is some wild conspiracy theory that can’t happen. Not only has Trump spoken favorably of dictators, he’s „joked“ about how he would like it if he was one. Plus everything he’s done since take office has been exactly what a wannabe tyrant would do.
Unless something drastic happens, I truly believe that Republicans will end democracy. It’ll be under the guise of something else at first in order to keep their cult from asking too many questions, but there is a significant chance that we just saw our last presidential election.
It’s not hyperbole. It’s not an overreaction from someone who hates him. I firmly believe that the goal of Trump and his party is to abolish opposition, and therefore democracy, completely.
The sad thing is that even if he admitted this, people would still not actually fight back. A few days of protests is laughable against a tyrant on the rise.

How many sectors will collapse when all the undocumented are rounded up? I recall Anthony Bourdain saying that if all the undocumented in NY were to leave, the entire restaurant industry would collapse.

I remember it was just a relatively short time ago that the mere FEAR of deportation caused major meat-packing plants to shut down as their employees moved to more immigrant-friendly states.
