Yes, and it’s funded by gutting the safety net (SNAP, Medicaid, Medicare, Student Loan IDR plans, funding for colleges and public schools, etc.) and inflating the deficit by 3.3 trillion dollars too.
And shit like this never gets dismantled we are headed to a full police state basically only answerable to the president.
Don’t worry, once the hospitals close and the rural housing market crashes, we’ll be grateful these facilities exist so they can be repurposed as shelters.

If this bill is really so unpopular, shouldn’t we be seeing protests in the streets by now? Not the kind that happens on a Saturday afternoon, but the continuous kind, like Occupy Wall Street.

Remember this and keep track of names. There will come a day when those who voted for this or who worked as ICE agents will suddenly not remember or disavow their actions. I don’t know when that day will come, but it will. We all have to stay strong and do everything in our power to resist. Don’t cede your power by throwing up your hands and saying that resistance is futile. Remember the decades that East Germany was oppressed by their authoritarian government but then its government was toppled by its own people.
We must take a long view here as we may be in for a long fight.
