Huge win for workers. Gig workers have been abused by employers for years who have hid behind the nature of the work to avoid paying proper wages and undercut others in these industries by doing so.
Would this work? Most people who drive can be Uber drivers, and if they do some sort of job action then whoever isnt participating will make a lot of money. Theres no way to track picket line crossing or anything either.
Seems like, intentionally or not, demand priced gig work is fundamentally immune to union actions.
