28% of people are going to support him no matter what because they’re in a cult. So don’t worry about that number. It won’t change until Trump eventually passes away. Think about it more like his approval rating is 15% with non maga.

    2. Mission-Mousse- on

I see this headline three or four times a day. Honestly, whether or not its true is now irrelevant – this is it for the next 3 and a half years (at a minimum). You made your uncomfortable bed, time to lie in it

    3. Fragrant-Helicopter1 on

Still doesn’t mean anything. They can disapprove but won’t do squat.

    4. andrewisgayyyy on

79% +/- 2.7% to 73% +/- 2.7%. Is “plummets” really the accurate word to use?

    5. Save your click. 79%

Call me when it’s below 35%.

Edit: typing too fast. Put 70 when it’s 79, but a 19% disapproval rating.

Republicans might not like what he’s doing but they have been entrenched in “I need to hate Democrats more”. All of the stories about friends and family being deported, Trump bombing Iran, Trump setting up memecoins to open himself up to accusations of bribery…the list can go on, but they will cut off their own nose to spite a Democrat.

So stories like this are really just fluff

    7. williamgman on

Um… Hate to point out the obvious but… y’all fucking voted for him already.

    8. >The latest ActiVote survey, conducted June 1 to 30 among 523 adults, found Trump’s national approval at 45 percent and disapproval at 52 percent—putting his net approval at –7 points, his worst showing since returning to office.

      >Despite this record low for his second term, Trump’s current approval still outpaces his own first-term average, which ActiVote tracked at 41 percent. It also remains slightly higher than former President [Joe Biden](https://www.newsweek.com/topic/joe-biden)’s full-term average of 41 percent and Biden’s final-year average of 40 percent.

      bruh, wtf.

    9. Recent-Ad-5493 on

IT CANNOT KEEP PLUMMETING. For as much as Trump’s approval rating has plummeted, you would think it was -5084. Go fuck yourself, media.

    10. Didntlikedefaultname on

Remember as someone who cannot legally be elected again his approval rating is absolutely meaningless

    11. retrogradeparallax on

Lolol… and this matters how exactly, even if you assume it’s true?

The sham that is the BBB is already past the senate, and the longer the House postures and play-acts with lengthy speeches and shit, the more I’m convinced that it will pass there too.

Yeah… fuck polls, show me actual tangible actions being taken. Otherwise all this is just fluff.

    12. This has been used as a headline repeatedly over the last few months. Clearly it is meaningless, so why keep reporting on it? Approval rating means jack when they still keep rooting it on

    13. Ahh, Newsweek, someone got an egg timer for the next headline where he’s leading in the polls.

    14. And they will still support whatever he does. His approval ratings means nothing

    15. Can we start using language as a weapon just like Republicans have been doing?

There is no cute fun name for a concentration camp – Please stop calling it Alligator Alcatraz

There is nothing beautiful in a bill that will directly cause tens of thousands of deaths. Stop calling it the BBB.

And they are not conservatives – they are oligarchs, fascists, even Nazis. Please don’t call them GOP or conservative politicians. I like to call them the IPS reps, short for Ignorant Pieces of Shit.

    16. DeeEmceeFoor on

Trump gets SLAMMED as his approval ratings PLUMMET, CRASH, AND MELTDOW- Aaaand the majority of Republicans still support him and would vote for him over and over again if given the opportunity.

Wake me up when something actually happens. Thanks.

    17. sniffstink1 on

No it doesn’t or the senate & house GOP would have read the writing on the wall and not supported the big beautiful pork-fest bill.

    18. Stinkstinkerton on

At some point this orange bag of shit and his project 2025 Taliban will have to use force to maintain power in America as they already have started. Rational sane people and dumb idiots will eventually unite with a common cause.

    19. I’m so tired of this same headline. How many times can it “plummet” before there is no one left? That limit doesn’t seem to exist in this regard

    20. Bull shit. The cult will never turn on its mango messiah even when he hands out the koolaid

    21. TheBeerRunner on

Why would he care? He isn’t running again. This is about getting rich and staying out of jail. He doesn’t even know WHAT his administration is doing, nor does he care. He isn’t pulling the strings here. Just being told what to sign.

    22. This is the 7th time its „plummeted“.

Surely its in the negative now, right?
Oh wait, its still the same because these articles miss the mark every single time purposely for engagement bait.

    23. I refuse to click on this clickbait title on this clickbait site, but I’m assuming that by „plunges“ they mean goes down 0.1% or some shit and the same 48 ish % support the felon tRump.

    24. I’m getting so tired of seeing this same headline over and over. No, it’s not and it probably never will. A cult doesn’t suddenly abandon its leader when the going gets tough, they double-down harder than ever.

    25. Guitarpanda1 on

I feel like we see this every day and then we see a week of House and Senate republics sucking his dick.

I’ll care about approval rating when it actually does something.

    26. MotherFuckinEeyore on

Oh no! Not plummeting! What ever will they do? 😱

These are not real consequences. This just a bunch of words designed to make us feel like the bad guys suffered a setback .

    27. Half-Life3_Confirmed on

I’m so tired of seeing Trump’s „plummeting approval rating“ hit the top of Reddit. It doesn’t matter. They will always fall in line. They will always worship their idol. The have done so much damage and are doing even more, and people will still vote for them.

    28. Squidysquid27 on

Deplorable was a word used with intent and EASY justification. They’re short minded, low IQ, and ready to gargle the next Republikkkans balls.

Fuck the hateful bastards. This changes nothing with them as humans. Still deplorables.

    29. Academic-Business-45 on

approval rating and voting are separate things in this new reality

    30. Serienmorder985 on

I literally just read ON Newsweek that Trump is the most popular president polls wise in the 21st century.

This morning. It was posted this morning. Like.. how do we get two different polls from the same agency in the same day saying completely opposite things

    31. It doesn’t matter. There will never be another free and fair election in the United States again.
