Yup, antagonizing big bully at your weakest AND losing a war/territories is completely same to what is happening now.

These „intellectuals“ are what makes Aliyev actually look not so bad.

I mean, you can’t play both sides forever.

Azerbaijan is a country caught in the middle of a grab for influence. Sooner or later there will be confrontation with one side. What makes one a strong or weak politician is if they were prepared for this confrontation. That we are still yet to see.

    4. Ugh I hate these sub 50 IQ „intellectuals“ made even dumber by their thirst to sound „liberal“ and „anti-establishment“, totally clueless of realpolitiks on the ground. Just stfu dude

the difference is he did it when Azerbaijan was weak and it costed the country a lot

but aliyev is doing when azerbaijan is way stronger, did humble down iranians and the tensions with russia is too new to judge

the difference is wining or losing, Elchibey lost and Aliyev so far won the tensions each made

    6. I mean, out of all the things he says, you chose one in which he is actually kinda right. What can I say?

      >shits on ilham for submitting to russian culture and had weekly meltdowns over it

      >ilham annihilates this link overnight

      >wait not like that

The only good thing about aliyev is that he beats up Russia and Iran

Unfortunately, online spaces have told me that a lot of Azeris are intellectual cowards. A lot of them will get violent instead of actually justifying when something they believe gets questioned.
