I had to search a bit to find out exactly what she said since most articles don’t actually include the quote.

After having read what she said, I really don’t see how this justifies firing her. I hope she sues and wins.

I don’t agree with her opinion or the whole genocide claims, but what she posted is extremely mild compared to the usual unhinged anti Israel takes I’m used to seeing.

      Here is the actual quote:

“In the last 2 yeqrs (sic) Israel has bombed Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and now Iran. They have been occupying Palestine for 75+ years. They are luring starving Palestinian children to their concentration camp food aid depots so they can snipe them dead.

They keep murdering workers – media, healthcare, municipal – they just mass murdered 15 first responders, including 7 paramedics – Any union or other organization that doesn’t fight this is choosing to stay silent during genocide. Thanks CUPE Ontario and Toronto & York Region Labour Council for asking members to join these demonstrations, to stop the bombing of Iran. You’re one of the few who stand in solidarity with workers.”

    2. There was a kid in Ottawa who was valedictorian of her high school and said one sentence about genocide.

She was told she wasn’t allowed to return to school.

We’ve reached a point where genocide seems to be ok. Calling a genocide a genocide will get you fired or banned from school.

      🤷
