Also ging ich in eine Stadt namens Ventspils, die nur 30 000 Menschen hat, aber es war absolut leer. Wir gingen durch die städtischen Gebiete und die Hauptstadtpromenade und durch unseren Spaziergang trafen wir nur rund 40 oder weniger Menschen. Was passiert in dieser Stadt, ist es normal, dass die Straßen so leer sind? Plus eine lustige Sache, einer der wenigen Menschen, die wir auf der Promenade gesehen haben, war ein alter Mann, der auf einer Bank saß, aber als wir näher kamen, stellten wir fest, dass es nur eine Statue war.

It’s not a holiday. Eweryone is at work. Both the locals and the tourists which tend to come on weekends/holidays.

There’s the reputation that Ventspils is for people until 5 and over 50
Go to Rimi, all people are there.
Because it’s well known to be a shithole.
No nightlife compared to Liepāja.
Too many russians, and the little napoleon Lembergs have done his magic.
Not a lot of Latvians in the first place
It always has been so.
You could drink beers and smoke cigarettes in the evenings there in the market with a girl sitting on your lap, and police drove by and just gave you thumbs up.
Everything was nice back then. 😩
