Hallo allerseits, ich plane einen Roadtrip nach Lettland mit meinen Freunden (die Route ist im Bild gezeigt). Ich habe mich gefragt, ob jemand Empfehlungen für Orte hat, die es wert sind, auf dem Weg zu besuchen – oder sogar ein bisschen von der Route (wir sind flexibel und glücklich, sie anzupassen).
Wir interessieren uns für alle Arten von Orten: historische Stätten, landschaftliche Aussichten, einzigartige Sehenswürdigkeiten oder alle versteckten Edelsteine, die Sie möglicherweise kennen.
Alle Tipps wären sehr geschätzt!

I would probably go through Sigulda, Līgatne, Cēsis, Valmiera if we follow this route.
Depends on how long of a detour you want to take.
Rundāles Castle is one of our more iconic historical sites, and it’s not far from your route entering Latvia.
Also, definitely make a stop in the beach town of Saulkrasti, which is on your route. It’s lovely there, especially in the evening.
As someone else mentioned, it’s also definitely worth taking a little detour (a little east of Saulkrasti) through Sigulda, Līgatne and Cēsis – homes of unique castles, quiet villages, rolling hills, caves and wine.
