      Not controversial at all in my opinion i do not see why anyone should be worth more then a 100 million. No one has done,a 100 million dollars of work during a lifetime.

      edit: Honestly i feel i am being extremely generous at 100 million.

      Not much his critics can do to combat that, since defending billionaires is unpopular.

      It shouldn’t even be a controversial statement. What could be the possible reason why someone would need need more than 999 million dollars? I would probably retire happily with just 10 million tomorrow

      He’s not wrong, TBH. There’s no way a person can become that wealthy without exploiting the labor of others.

      We have already clearly seen the dangers when one person controls that much wealth. We saw it with Musk buying the election for Trump and we’re seeing it with SCOTUS and the reclusive Leonard Leo pulling the strings of the Federalist Society justices.

      It’s an absolute disgrace when one man can rent the entire city of Venice for a lavish, narcissistic wedding while much of the world languishes in sickness, poverty, and sectarian strife.

      The same people who will have an issue with this statement claiming suppression of the people and government overreach, will be the same people who are totally okay with detainment sans due process, and forcing dead bodies to give birth.

      This is perfect. True too. There is absolutely no reason that we need billionaires in a civilized society. Once you get to $999M, you’ve won. 90% tax after that. 10% is donated

      I hope he does well and sets a good example for more progressive policy. A little worried about his lack of experience(general administration), and some of his policies are a stretch of what he could do as Mayor. More than anything, I hope it’s indicative of a little movement starting.

      Dudes right! Do billionaires work really hard for their wealth sure, some of them do, but there is almost always some luck involved. Either born to the right family or in the right place at the right time or both.

      Sure, there should be no billionaires, but why stop there? No one needs to be a millionaire either. Better yet, everyone should just work and the gov can decide what we can and can not have and they can be the one that gives it to us. Perfect world right?
