Former Cassini Imaging Team member. Yeah, we were hoping to get NAC images during a flyby in 2015 but we missed it, so this image is from 14,000 km, taken in 2010, instead of 1500 km that we would’ve gotten in 2015.
Aegaeon is a very small moon. I even had plans to add to the canon of NASA ridiculous size comparisons when we had a press release for those planned images. Aegaeon is roughly the size and shape of the Battlestar Galactica.
