    1. I’ve only started hearing about this guy in the last couple weeks and everything I’ve seen from him paints him as cartoonishly evil. Like this shit could have justified him being a straight up captain planet villain.

Wealthy people want to buy our priceless wilderness for pennies on the dollar. Mike Lee is just the conduit. The people paying him buy politicians from both parties. Extreme wealth is a danger to our national security.

Even among MAGA pieces of shit, Mike Lee stands out as an especially pungent piece of shit.

Selling public land is almost universally disliked. I can’t think of a bigger bipartisan agreement, yet these fucks are just relentless going after it.

He just came out with another crazy bill/amendment to leave NATO. You know, the most successful defensive alliance in the history of the world.

What’s going on Utah? Why is he your senator?

    5. Obviously he’s representing his constituents of Utah. The land of corporate religion.

Didn’t the parliamentarian block it on the Byrd Rule? How was he able to add it back in?

Our last intact wild lands will be blocked from us. The access points will be sold and the wealthy will have exclusive access. Whether they extract or build resorts- our greatest carbon sinks will be lost along with the species that need connectivity.

    8. Must be sweating bullets that he already spent whatever money someone gave him to make that happen.

Everyone is sneaking stuff in and nobody knows what the bill includes. It’s a last minute grab for tax payer dollars. Nobody should question how we got $40T in debt, thanks to republicans.

I wonder who he promised this land to lol. They must have something on him.

    11. Must be those donations he’s getting from large scale commercial developers

      Shame

This mother fucker has to be gaining financially from this land sale. Why else would he be personally so adamant about the sell off?

    13. Utah has been in a long fight between preserving public lands and selling them to corporations. This is one of the difficult balances the GOP has had. The wealthy that always push for land grabs and the outdoors types that love the public lands. If we weren’t stuck with the two party system guys like Mike Lee would be working at a truck stop.

This is why they need to do a full review on this bill in session. Why does anything need to be “snuck in” if it’s a good thing?

    15. Huh!

Is that the Mike Lee who, when there was a congressional delegation to Russia, all the other congressmen were denied visas and a Mike Lee, said somehting like „fear not, I will undertake this challenge alone!“?

      That Mike Lee?

Becasue, if so; I’ve got to wonder: who (maybe through many shell companies) will be buying up those public lands?

      Just asking.

    16. They never even questioned that putting trump above the law and making it impossible to hold him accountable, making him authoritarian dictator in his Totalitarian regime. The only good republican is a …… … oh there aren’t any

Someone with a lot of money that wants to buy up a bunch of public land must be paying him.

They’ll care a lot when their mountain homes burn down because they aren’t in federal protection areas anymore. Then they’ll be all Surprise Pikachu face and make it Democrats/federal employees fault, somehow.
