Shouldn’t have picked her in the first place. Shouldn’t keep her. (Losing her own riding is especially a problem and I don’t think parties should stick with candidates who can’t even do that.)

Probably same with Stiles though I think Stiles is fine and would run a better government. But I don’t think the party is going to see a surge under her unless there’s a huge Ford scandal and Crombie’s Liberals also crater.

These parties need leaders who can viably win and bring new energy. Or we can waste another election and throw it to Ford again.

She should go. Just like Poilievre should. If you can’t even win your own seat – you shouldn’t be a leader.

    3. It’s next to impossible to predict these delegated conventions, it’s fairly common for the party to fix them to be in the leaders favour. But half the riding associations in the province are either skeletal or dead, so who knows the types of people as that might show up. Anything could happen, but Crombie is probably favoured.

I think politically that Crombie is finished though, the party might win official opposition next time, but that’s through a failure of the NDP rather than a success of their own. Ford wasn’t really beatable this election, but losing her own seat says that things won’t be turning around.

Most of the failures of the campaign fall at Crombie’s team though, these are the same perennial losers who ran Freeland’s leadership, and Ignatieff before that. The provincial party has basically become a dumping ground for failed federal strategists, which is embarrassing.

The fact that they ran her in Mississauga East-Cooksville instead of Mississauga Centre should have the entire team fired. They don’t know what they’re doing.

PRoblem is majority of the population just didnt get out and vote, is reason Ford got a majority. Things would be better under a NDP rule, at least minority with a split on opposition of Liberal and PC
