Its obvious that using the military against the citizenry is coming soon so anything that reduces their numbers is good in the long-term.
Weird thing to focus on. 20% of the military is black. As per this article, 60% of black men make up that amount with said issue. The sex percentage of the US military is 84% men….. so…… with 2,075,619 people in the military as of March 2025….
That means this might affect/fire 209,000 Black men from the military. Is that realy what the military needs now?

Not only is racism unpatriotic, it shrinks the talent pool and diverts that talent into your opposition–which you always have because the racism always goes hand in hand with fascism and the mistreatment of people.
You don’t just lose the black people and all their talent, you start to lose *most* of the smart, decent people who disapprove. You know, the ones who do all the planning and all of the actual work.
Now an entire cross-section of talent will flatly refuse Defense-related careers. I know this because that’s just what I did, forty years ago when racism came back in a big way. When Willie Horton showed up in the news, I told all my recruiters to fuck off.
So this will make the Army stupider and less competent at the exact time that they will be turned into your prison guards. And the best of us will be plotting how to deal with the guards instead of oppressing you.
I was a medic in the Army. We had al lot of soldiers who would rotate on and off shaving profiles. This will hurt numbers but we all may be drafted soon anyway. This shit is unreal.
Troops and Veterans reading this, please honor your oath. We swore to protect the US Constitution and it is under assault right now. We don’t support dictatorships in the United States.
The racial aspect is really problematic because it’s also taking away an opportunity for jobless black youth to get off the streets, get job training and other benefits and make something out of their lives. And this opportunity could now be going away without any thought to offering something else.
Maybe I’m overthinking things, but actions like this without considering the consequences worry me.
With a volunteer army, how is this going to be a good policy?

There it is—I was wondering how they’d go about decreasing the number of Black men from the ranks. That shaving profile is HUGE for a lot of guys. No LGBTQ, no women in leadership, just white men. So when it’s time to call the Hounds, they’ll have less issues with a soldiers experiencing a crisis of consciousness.

Barber instructor here! One thing that is taught during the shave section is that people with coarse curly hair need to be shaved differently than people with other textures. Improperly shaving coarse curly hair can cause folliculitis barbae and can lead to keloids; a nearly impossible-to-treat skin condition where scars continue to grow. Some keloids become so large they can look like tumors.
This policy is either an ignorant oafs rash mistake or a targeted racially motivated attack. Both are not okay regardless. Hell, a little research into the reason this exception existed would have given people enough facts to keep it in place.
Ultimately, this is so shameful.
