Because propaganda works on the weak-minded, and the majority of voting Americans are on the low side of the intelligence bell curve.
None of y’all live in the south and it shows, this is the most politically active and motivated ive ever seen these people. 100% bought in. They have an agenda, and they are rallying around it. They’re unified under Trump.
Because these people 100 percent believe they are doing the work of Christ and therefore have a license to do what they want how vote how they do. Furthermore they can’t be convinced to vote for the other side because they believe it’s the side of Satan worshipping, child killing/grooming paganism.

The average reading comprehension of an adult in the United States is somewhere around the sixth-grade level. Idiocy is not a hard language to learn…much easier than bothering to understand your neighbor who comes from a different culture or needed an abortion to save her life.
Because our country has too many people who value cruelty over competence.
Because it was put in motion by much more clever, cruel people over the last few decades.
All these comments about low intelligence-nope we are mostly bad people. Only about a third of the voting population. A third voted for him and a third didn’t vote. That means a third found that trump wasn’t bad enough to vote against. Two thirds of the voting population were fine with trump. That’s the math people. Most Americans are just not good people. Like it, don’t like it- the numbers are the numbers.
Because, as is often said, the cruelty is the point. The Republican voter base does not flag, and the politicians always fall in line. Logic, rationality and competence are also boring, and the Republicans have mastered feeding their voters red meat. That’s not even getting into the fractious nature of the Democrats, because they all care about different things.
Why did Germany love Hitler? Why did the citizens allow so much death and destruction? Propaganda!
Because the DNC leadership is cruel, stupid, and inept.
They gave a full-throated and enthusiastic support to Andrew fucking Cuomo, sexual predator in the NYC mayoral election.
Nearly 120 House Democrats including Jeffries shot down the recent articles of impeachment. The top Senator is not out in the streets with the people, not organizing, he’s mumbling about a book deal and talking to Republicans at the fucking gym.
The DNC leadership is corrupt, backwards, and continually hamstringing the party’s ability to be a legitimate opposition party offering an alternative.
If these geriatric fucks crippling the party got out of the way and the party put the full weight of its endorsement and backing behind candidates people actually wanted, we would not be losing.
At our time of greatest need, the DNC is in the worst shape it has ever been in. Dying septugenarians are given key comittee positions.
And before these insufferable fools scree in and go THEY’RE IN THE MINORITY WHAT DO YOU WANT THEM TO DO?!?!?
I want them **to fucking lead**. I want major figures out in the fucking streets. I want emails from DNC politicians organizing protestors en masse. I want them to use their power and privelege to take risks, to challenge ICE, to risk arrest in order to *be seen resisting*.
They have to give people something to believe in. That’s the whole fucking point of leaders, in case anyone forgot. They are *supposed to fucking lead*.
Why would anyone be encouraged to vote for a party that is so weak and anemic when I give them the seat? How are they driving voters?
Mamdani won his camaign for NYC mayor with *zero* support from the establishment. He drove *upwards of 300% increases in primary turnout*, especially among young people.
Why? Because he had legitimate policies they believed in. Because he *worked his ass off* for his campaign.
We should be doing this nationwide. But the party doesn’t. They are pathetic. Truly pathetic. They are rich, weak, priveleged fools decaying in their thrones, feeling entitled to positions of power they can’t wield, talking down to the world for not agreeing with their tepid and nonexistent resistance to the destruction of Democracy.
If you’ve ever dated a narcissist, there’s almost literally nothing you can do. You can call them out, you can grey rock them, you can try to move on, but their whole goal is to effect your life and get an emotional reaction from you so that they can feel powerful. I’m not saying don’t do anything, but that you shouldn’t be too worried that there isn’t an answer. The main thing is that narcissists always burn out. They have to burn everything down or at least burn it close to all the way to feel powerful and like a real person. The high dissipates once all the fuel is burned and the plot is lost. They don’t have souls or creativity so it will fizzle and then it almost immediately goes silent.
Think of this like the divorce phase; this is all guns blazing. Take you down and destroy you and gas light. Try to get you to react and look like a fool so a judge agrees with them and then the judge acts on your reaction without knowing the context to their behavioral pattern.
It’s tiring and wears you out but you can’t give up. You just have to let narcissists tire themselves out and break shit until they see they went too far. Usually someone they trust all of the sudden sees the bullshit and they have to pull back because they always have to be the victim and seen as the victim.
It’s their audience that you need to do educate. You have to teach the flying monkeys the truth because they become the real power. They will encourage the narcissist and then the narcissist can get away with anything
Because their opponents are willing to cheat on every level, lie, and use outright propaganda. They have created a bubble that can be difficult to escape from.

I think social media has given stupid people a network to coalesce as a voting bloc.
Because the „cruel, stupid, inept“ people are backed by „cruel, smart, capable“ people. There’s an entire apparatus behind them with a lot of money and power that is making sure the narrative goes the way that’s most beneficial to them.
Decades of defunded schools turned out dumb adults. Decades of Fox News primed those adults to believe anything if it helps “their team”. That left them highly vulnerable to social media manipulation by musk, Russia, et al, which told them that all democrats were pure evil, no matter how much their proposed policies would help republicans; and MAGA was the second coming, despite how their proposed policies would hurt republicans.
Because the democrats are held to a ridiculous standard – anything they want to do must be completely paid for and must be explained in 2-3 sentences despite it being super complicated. And if it can’t, the media et al decries those plans as “unworkable”
The gop can and does literally lie about any and everything and are often met with no pushback at all.
Because there are stupid people that like to say both sides.
Stupid, racist people who want to inflict pain on other people vote more than registered democrats do. Elections have consequences.
Division on the left, disengagement by the electorate, news sources biased by feed algorithms, and a solidified opposition.
Propaganda works, and 40% of Americans are brainwashed by conservatives media.
People do not understand how our government is supposed to work. People think the President is responsible for everything which is just untrue. The billionaires have capitalized on this.
Because Republicans can be literal sexual assaulting creeps, taking the people’s healthcare away, and ignore the Constitution while Democrats have to be absolutely perfect in everything they have ever done or said. Much different standards by the voters in each party.
Hate, stupidity, and the GOP rigging elections in one way or another.

The Democrats are busy playing by the rules, still stubbornly behaving at the highest levels of party leadership as if everything is fine and normal.
Meanwhile, MAGA is not. MAGA is strolling into the boxing ring with Knuckle Dusters and Bear Mace, ready to fight to the death.
Bunch of uneducated fucking morons in the Deep South, the fucking reason I left. They make the world around them miserable to exist in.
I’d wager it’s a combination of people falling for Republican/MAGA propaganda and people not wanting to hear that to fix society/the country/whatever requires time and hard work.
The MAGA crowd buy into the quick fix promises and the “Dems are out to get you” lines.
The ones who don’t vote or vote third party buy into the “Dems don’t do anything” and get upset when their own quick fixes don’t work.
The other aspect beyond the populace at large, is the reluctance of leadership to accept that this is not a temporary thing. There’s a strong desire to „go back to the way things where“, where Dems and Repubs would argue at an intellectual level, then go have lunch and laugh about life.
That world is gone. Sure, they might hang out with you in the background, but elected Republicans are calling you the enemy. You can’t say I’m a danger to society and expect me to want to live life with you. It’s time to approach the cancer for what it is, and excise it from the discourse.

Reddit skews VERY educated and informed. There are people out there for whom *nothing* breaks through. I know Trump voters who haven’t talked about a single news event since George Floyd’s murder. It’s as if nothing was a big enough story to make it into conversation…except maybe the assassination attempt
Well they cheat. A lot. And have captured the dumbest base. And have institutional advantages built in so that they can get more representatives for empty land instead of people. The deck is stacked for the right and complete stacked against normal people.
