    1. I mean, technically, there is no center. However, there is some evidence my sister believes she is the center.

There isn’t one. Consider the universe as the surface of an inflated balloon. Where is the center of the balloons surface?

    3. A lot of people will posit that its millions of light years away; however, I believe the consensus will eventually agree that Hokah, MN is the center of the universe.

If time-space is truly (and uniformly) expanding, isn’t every point the center?

Everywhere you point to in the universe you are pointing to the beginning of time so the answer is everywhere

There can only be a center if you can find the edges. If it’s infinite there is no center.

According to my mom and my dad, it’s definitely not me, but I think it is.

    8. By definition, each person is the center of their own observable universe.

    9. Can we work out where the big bang happened? If everything is expanding there must be a point it’s all expanding from.

      Right here.

Because the Big Bang emerged from a single point, and dimensions (not just matter, dimensions!) inflated from that single, zero-dimensional point, everywhere is the centre of the universe.

It may be a comfort to realise that our brains have not experienced any evolutionary pressure to get better at apprehending concepts like this. So we’re little better off than fish at getting it. In fact, fish, who navigate in three dimensions (while we typically navigate in two) might get it more easily than we do.

This is one possible interpretation but it’s not the only possible one. We don’t know if the universe is closed or open, finite or infinite. Lots of people don’t *like* the idea that the universe has a centre, and so choose the solution that doesn’t give it one, because if there is a centre then it looks a lot like we’re very close to it, and the idea that we’re in a special position makes them deeply uncomfortable. But that’s not terribly scientific.
