>Velez, a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, was taken into custody during an immigration raid on Tuesday. In video captured from the scene, agents can be seen surrounding her as a crowd gathers in the street and police officers stand by. Meanwhile, Rosas and her mother, who has residency but is not a citizen, screamed from a nearby vehicle for help.
>“She’s a US citizen,” Rosas said through tears. “They’re taking her. Help her, someone.”
>In other video, an agent can be seen lifting Velez off the ground and carrying her away. Witnesses told media, including CBS Los Angeles, that the agents never asked Velez for identification, and that she did nothing wrong.
>“The only thing wrong with her … was the color of her skin,” Velez’s mother, Margarita Flores, told CBS Los Angeles.

At what point do LAPD officers intervene when the mothers is clearly yelling that this girl is a US citizen and stop this kidnapping of a young woman by several masked men?

So she interfered and tried to stop an ICE raid.

It’s like this regime knows we either can’t or won’t, stop this. But which one is it?

Everyone who arrests someone without a warrant should get arrested for kidnapping, human trafficking, and more.

Are people just supposed to let random men kidnap them? If they fight back, it’s suddenly assault charges against ICE officers?

That video is disgusting. Watching officers, who have sworn to protect and serve, stand there and guard kidnappers is painful. A US citizen being abducted like that, I can’t imagine what „charges“ the ICE gestapo provided to the LAPD to justify the abduction and get protection like this.

Can’t wait until ICE starts these activities in open carry states.

In any normal administration, this would be a hell of a civil rights violation lawsuit or settlement.
Then again, normal administrations don’t kidnap their own citizens.

For a country that’s strapped with guns, it’s very surprising that no one is shooting at masked men committing kidnappings

Everyone has to understand that most police officers are your local Chad dumbass that couldn’t get into college so they hit up the academy.
These guys are not great at quick thinking, problem solving, nuance, etc. That is *not* to say that they don’t serve an important function. They do as they’re told. It probably breaks their brain to think for themselves.

„While it’s not yet clear how many citizens have been affected by the administration’s attack on immigrant communities, a government report found that between 2015 and 2020, Ice erroneously deported at least 70 US citizens, arrested 674 and detained 121“
You can’t report a citizen. Instead of „erroneously deported“, it should read „illegally exiled“. And in an equitable world, that phrase would be followed by „leading to prison sentences for the agents involved.“

Wondering if ICE agents are even thinking about the aftermath of illegally arresting US citizens. Eventually this administration will be gone. “Just following orders” shouldn’t be an excuse here either.

Abolish ICE and put these criminal ls behind bars. The dems better do that shit day 1 if they ever manage to wrangle a shred of power.

It was pretty obvious that at some point ICE – or whoever these masked thugs actually are – was going to start going after US citizens. And it should also be obvious that it won’t always be just (or mostly) hispanic-looking people. Yet all the „good“ hispanics were thinking it wouldn’t happen to them (several have said so in interviews after a ‚good‘ relative got snatched), and then all the hispanic citizens were thinking it wouldn’t happen to them, and now all the other citizens are thinking that it won’t happen to them. Fact is, it can and it will. My Chinese American in-laws, US citizens, are afraid to go visit China because they realize that anything might happen when they try to return.
