**From Steve Benen, producer for “The Rachel Maddow Show”:**
Austrian reporter Johannes Petrov reminded Trump, “You once said that you would end the Ukraine war in 24 hours,” at which point Trump interjected, “Of course I said that sarcastically.”
Undeterred, the reporter asked, “But you’ve been in office for five months and five days. Why have you not been able to end the Ukraine war?”
The Republican responded, “Because it’s more difficult than people would have any idea.”
The first part of the exchange was notable in its own right. As a candidate, Trump repeatedly promised American voters that he’d end Russia’s devastating war in Ukraine before he was sworn in for a second term. He failed.
Resolve? f that, there is way too much money to be grifted into Trump and his proxy accounts to keep it going…I love how the population keeps getting clowned by the system and yet they remain too ignorant to actually do something about it…masterful by the ultra wealthy to keep doing the same thing they have done since money and assets were discovered. Now since I am religious, I think that was about 2000 years ago, when Cain struck down able for his hunk of farmers cheese he was eating…for sure started then.

I’m honestly surprised that Trump is still sending aid to Ukraine, not that I’m complaining. It just seems like he fell back to the status quo.

I’m not sure if he was ever serious about ending the war.

Taco never would had even thought any the hows, it was a throw away line that he knew his base would latch onto, it played into the belief by his followers that he was some sort of master negotiator, despite all the evidence to the contrary.
As an international community we shouldn’t be sanewashing Trump or his MAGA base. Look where it got the US.
