Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is notably absent from a major intelligence briefing with the Senate on Thursday.

Gabbard’s sidelining comes shortly after President Donald Trump bluntly said that her testimony from March, when she asserted Iran was not building a nuclear weapon, was “wrong.” It also comes amid a damning intelligence leak that weakened the White House’s claims regarding the effectiveness of Trump’s strike on Iran.

Likely did this because if the briefing is under oath and Gabbard is forced to explain when the IC changed the assessment about the timeline for a nuclear weapon she will have two options:

      1. Outright lie and risk perjury

      2. Admit that Trump’s claims did not align with the intelligence community and his justification was likely based on Bibi telling him and not US assessments.

You mean a leak *not* due to Hegseth drunk-texting war secrets to randoms?

    5. She’s a hack as it is but at the same time if anyone in the country that *should* know what the real intel is, it is her. I don’t trust her but I trust her intel FAR more then I ever will trust anything out of Trump’s mouth.

What a fkn shit show. Watch the cult turn on her after they got all excited when she told her 6 supporters she was supporting trump

    7. Tulsi there are formal and informal grenades in politics and the informal ones are picking up

    8. A great way to deal with a narcissist is to humiliate him in public. More than likely most of these “leaks” for whatever policy, stance etc are being done by the secretary of that particular agency when Trump tries to throw them under the proverbial bus.

We get to reap the benefit of their incompetence.

    9. The best part about this is how Trump’s morons are pissed about the leak while also claiming the leak is a lie. They’re too stupid to understand that if it’s a leak that it’s not a lie and if it’s a lie it’s not a leak.

Yep, tulsi is very likely an overt Russian asset but it’s telling that trump-of all people!-is excluding a rep from her dept. please do NOT replace her with Joe Kent

    11. Finding out what happens when you don’t let Trump think he’s right 100% of the time

It’s some quality schadenfreude to see this Russian asset get thrown under the bus, but she’s literally the Director of National Intelligence. Dropping the DNI from intelligence briefings is the height of dysfunction. This also follows trump and Gabbard’s purging of the National Security Council.

So who is feeding trump intelligence assessments if no one’s left? Is Israel just feeding trump targets to bomb? Moscow and Tel Aviv are apparently in control of US „intelligence,“ it definitely isn’t trump’s cabinet.

      Solid plan for success.

    15. When I argue with Trumpies on Reddit they claim Iran had 60% enriched Uranium that could very quickly and easily be enriched to 90% to become weapons grade.

It’s like, okay, where is the intelligence that they were planning to do that?

I have your beloved Trump administration’s intelligence on this matter. Their official public stance was that Iran was not manufacturing nuclear weapons, and their nuclear weapons program remains completely suspended as it has been for over two decades.

So why is them having 60% enriched uranium a concern?

They were not violating international law. They were not violating a nuclear deal. They would have been! But Trump ripped up the nuclear deal and had no plan to replace it. We had an agreement they couldn’t enrich uranium to that level, and we told them they are no longer bound by that agreement!

There is no intelligence assessment from the US that Iran was enriching weapons grade uranium. There isn’t even one from Israel! They used the same shakey argument. They have 60% enriched uranium so they are a threat that must be violently attacked…

They could have just loed and say they have intelligence confirming that Iran was in the process of enriching their uranium to weapons-grade levels.

You know why they didn’t use that lie? Because it’s the EXACT lie they told to invade Iraq. “We have intelligence proving that Saddam Hussein has nuclear weapons” and it was a lie. No one would believe that same lie a second time. The Republicans who started the Iraq war now claim to be the most anti-“middle east war” people around.

Director of National Intelligence can’t attend intelligence briefings.  Lol

Ok, so why not just fire her then if she’s useless?

Yet another asshole that has thrown away a promising career (and fortune) by hooking up with the orange dildo.

      Just a reminder…

During Trump’s last „big beautiful term“ he had a 94% turnover rate of his administration… But that’s not all… Of those that were replaced… Another 42% quit or were fired. That’s why by the end of that term a large number of the positions were ‚“acting“ positions.

    19. VigilantVet on

The US government is dysfunctional AF. Is our dictator going to have Rubio take over that role too? So tired of this bs.

    20. How can anyone ever think that loyalty is anything but a one-way transaction with Trump? They’ve seen the people before thrown from the group and vilified, yet they are still surprised when it’s their turn.

    21. It’s not like she didn’t know or have proof he would do this to her. Her lust for revenge and power coupled with being an asset to VP enabled this to happen.

No one should trust Trump. Even his own kids don’t trust him…despite what they want you to believe.

    22. The Director of National Intelligence dropped from the intelligence briefing? Make it make sense!

    23. scott_peregrin on

It’s not because of a leak, it’s because she opposes his illegal attack on Iran.

    24. Ok, Donald, seriously. It’s either fake news, or a real leak. It can’t be both.

First of many… you can count on many more.. the entire administration is a joke anyway.. 🤡🖕🤡

Never though I would say this- I really think shes being dropped for being honest/not juicing the info for a foreign gov’t….

Sold your soul to the devil and now you are being screwed by tRump. Congrats that was great career move.

    29. Necessary_Ad2043 on

How can intelligence leak if there isn’t any in this administration?

    30. Wait, so, let me get this straight – the *DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE* was dropped from an Intelligence Briefing.

<sigh> Trump administration, always a hot mess. Next time don’t assemble a crack team of celebrity dating game advisors.
