Wilder does not get enough credit for “Young Frankenstein” IMO. He conceived it and wrote the screenplay before Mel’s involvement. It turned out to be a fantastic collaboration, but I’ve always felt it was 49% a Mel Brooks’ film and 51% Wilder’s, especially when you consider Wilder also starred in it.

Personally, I think Young Frankenstein is his best movie.
The funniest though? Blazing Saddles.
