      This headline is opposite what it should be. „J6 rioter, Pamela Hemphill, receives letter written by Mike Pence, praising her for declining a pardon for her actions.“ Is what it should read.
      It should be about her, not him. She is a fine person, she did wrong, admitted it, served her sentence and stands by her choices (the good ones and the less than). Pence is doing the minimum, for a headline and the idea that he can remain relevant.
      She is not looking to remain relevant, but a tiny part of me is glad for it. That is even more reason she should be the subject of the headline.

      Rare good news with regard to rejecting MAGA in our state.

      I agree with him in this case but we have to remember that VP Pence is ultimately not a person that the majority of the country is aligned with. He did not win the 2024 primaries, is a outcast of MAGA and is definitely not well liked by the left either.

      In a democracy, the majority has a truth of its own. Popular support has a truth of its own. And so here this letter lacks credibility, because it lacks the support of someone with popular support.

      Instead of leading the charge of the big pharma drug sellers, he attacked the addicted which resulted in a HUGE HIV wave

      I don’t like Mike Pence but he at least has more honor for his country and respect for the constitution than any MAGA loyalists and supporters by not going along with Trump’s coup when many other GOP sycophants would’ve gladly done the same.

      …so this guy is the biggest idiot who ever lived, right? Can we agree on that?

      He sleepwalked through the entire first Trump administration blissfully acting as though working for this guy was the most Christian and most American thing a person could do, then when Trump commanded him to do his bidding re: election fraud he was… surprised? That KILLS me.

      And now he continues to show his sincerity in opposing J6 with this gesture? All those years did he not understand who the fuck he was working for? Did Mike Pence have any understanding of what was EVER going on around him until that day? Jesus Christ
