Notice how they all react when a person representing the working class gains a foothold? The mainstream media, particularly the „leftist media“ (that Trump and his sycophants claim is a real thing) talk about this election as though they (the media and the wealthy) will be marched into the park and hurt/ imprisoned. That’s the response of the people „on the left.“ The same people who have enabled Trump but offered bread and circus faux „resistance“ to this lawless President for the rest of us.
Of course Trump’s people are going to do the same. This is so blatant that I can’t imagine mistaking it anymore. I recall Chuck Todd saying the same thing when Bernie took an early lead over Biden. The rich want us to believe that we are represented by them. They want a giant show in the media that play acts a distraction back to us like a soap opera that will keep us *feeling* represented but in reality we’re left to fend for ourselves. And the „threat“ he poses to the rich and powerful? Only one group is doing that, and they’re only doing it to poor, largely minority people. Additionally, they’re privatizing *our* democratically controlled institutions and wealth and injecting private weapons into our own government to hurt *us* (e.g. Palantir).
The working class only ever wanted a fair piece of the pie. The wealthy only wanted religiously motivated slaves.

That sounds like the right next step for authoritarian single party rule. Simply makeup charges and imprison anyone who’s at risk of upsetting the political order, so they are not available for the election and if elected somehow, they cannot serve.
That a random person in X would talk this way is disgusting but pretty much par for the course. That some of the most prominent names in America would do it, including THE PRESIDENT’s SON, is terrifying and totally unacceptable, and yet still pretty much par for the course.
This proves to me we will never have a woman nor elect another bipoc candidate for president in the United States.
