There’s a lot of goodwill right now for getting the economy on track and Carney has a really strong minority. I think the momentum will continue.

A wildcard will be if Poilievre (likely) wins his byelection and comes back as Opposition Leader in Parliament. It will be interesting to see the contrast between Parliament working well when he’s not there, to what happens when he is there being his usual obstructionist self.

Here’s a crazy option for the CPC now that the Libs have swung to the right, join them on key legislation. Not a coalition, not a supply and confidence agreement but supporting them on bills that the CPC’s would put out in general. They can still critique the government saying they would have don’t things different but still support the bills.

This is what Canadians want to see and would go a long way in showing the CPC is a party of leadership and an alternative to the LPC.

I mean if Carney keeps the LPC base happy he is only gaining ground with CPC voters and the CPC has to follow along because he is doing exactly what they campaigned on. Hopefully we can keep this trend of the official opposition not just opposing everything.
