Do we really need another completely underwhelming take on an epic novel? Just read the damn thing…

It would have to be a trilogy to fit that all in, but you could get by with most with two films.

1994 was a great version. Recent one was poop, crap, caca! This is unnecessary, wait another 20 years at least.

Huh? Didn’t we just get one of these?

Got a third “the stand” before GTA6 (and a good Dark Tower)

It can’t be done in a single film. Even the old version was an eight hour miniseries I believe.

> Stephen King’s magnum opus
Stephen King’s magnum opus is The Dark Tower, goddammit.

Thought there’d be a bit more of a gap between the fictional pandemic and the real one.

I wish they could have made whatever George Romero and King had been rumored to be working on.
I’m not terribly interested in this. I don’t think you just get a do over on this just because IT did well. He still has to answer for why we don’t have a good adaptation of the Dark Tower with Eddie, Suzannah, Oy and Blaine.
Instead we got whatever the fuck you get with Matthew McConaughey and Fran Kranz hamming up the scenery in half built sets and half assed lore building of a seven book series in 90 minutes.
