For months, I’ve listened to libs in this sub repeat the same tired line, that the only way to win elections is through “moderate” politics. That progressives are too risky, too idealistic, or just not electable. But the NY mayoral primary just blew that narrative apart. Voters didn’t choose the establishment candidate with the big-name backing. They chose young, bold, progressive leadership. People are clearly done with the status quo. They’re not looking for another polished career politician, they want someone who actually stands for something. This wasn’t just a win, it was proof that the appetite for real change is alive and growing.
