Can't withdraw from KuCoin without complying with their ridiculous requests!

I’m sorry to hear of these troubles. You can either comply or consult a lawyer or forfeit your funds.
It *is* outrageous. I remember one word being used frequently in the early days of crypto: **permissionless**. What ever happened to that? I guess regulators fucked it.
Oh no, their ridiculous, legally required, requests 🙄
You sure this is an actual exchange and not some elaborate phishing scam??
A situation like this proves once again how important it is to avoid centralized dystopian entities that pervert the whole essence of cryptocurrencies by 180 degrees.
Kucoin is known for being ridiculous. I have a fully verified account but wanted to change my email but for some reason the app kept saying failed. So i contacted support to change it and they replied with

I was like, fuck them. So tomorrow i tried again in the app and it worked, bug was gone. They are just crazy.
Thank you for reminding me to close this account.
I too received the same email & I don’t leave anything hanging out on any exchange & moved tokens a long time ago, but I don’t want to turn a 0 into their stupid fees.
Yikes. That’s why I don’t store anything in centralized exchanges
KUCOIN got pretty serious about KYC/AML around two years ago. They sent a lot of emails about it. If you did not take the hint then to get your stuff off exchange, you might be paying for an expensive lesson in not your keys not your coins
You’re like a year late withdrawing your assets my dude
i have seen many similar posts about the problem of not being able to withdraw money on CEX, but today i saw your post again talking about this problem so i just withdrew all the money on kucoin to ledger, luckily it went smoothly, maybe with some coins not on binance, i will trade with DEX like hyperliquid instead of other shady CEX, hope you get your money back soon.
You don’t have to do any of it at all unless you want to withdraw millions a day
It’s always been that way
Well you’re either going to jump through their hoops or they’re going to chip away at your coins via fee collecting until you have nothing left. It being bullshit or wondering if it’s ethical is irrelevant, you have a choice to make. How much is your account worth and is it enough to deal with all that nonsense?
Kucoin is where I started out many years ago. I ended up “forgetting” about my crypto for about 4-1/2 years. One day I came back to check on it because of some news that had finally dropped about one of coins I own. Ends up, I was lucky i did. It was two days before Kucoin was going to stop Americans from using their exchange. Luckily I was able to collect all of my funds. So, do you all use decentralized exchanges?
