    1. Democrats might be the most useless party ever known to mankind lol

Its absurd that our only option vs republicans is them

And even crazier that we can’t hope for a 3rd party because Andrew Jackson has scarred everyone in the country forever by getting sht done and not putting up with the institutional bullshit that every good president has to (Obama with the ACA bill etc)

Trump is allowed to dismantle and violate multiple policies, but lord forbid a democratic president tries to…. „forgive student debt“ without a bunch of babies screeching over it

How much did those missles we dump on Iran cost?

I don’t care if a democrat doesn’t think impeachment is a viable option to stop the Orange Turd!! You still vote for it. You don’t join the asshole Republicans!!

    3. Only reason I vote for this loser party is because I hate the other one more.

I studied political theory a few decades ago and most of our discussion revolved around the concept of fighting the fights you can win vs fighting the fights that are worth fighting: opportunity vs obligation.

The votes don’t exist in Congress to impeach. Too many of the elected officials are kept in pocket. The DNC has decided to allow the continued decay of the State because they know they can’t win this fight, and have lost all sight of the obligation they have to stand up for our system of laws and ethics. And as I type „ethics“, I do so knowing that Congressional ethics has long been a fairy tale concept.

If the DNC wont fight the fights than need to be fought, then spin up a new party that will.

both our parties are compromised, now what? they are working harder to make sure mamdani doesnt win in NYC than fascism, they dont seem to fight this hard for people being kidnapped, havent heard them mention the other people sent to CEDOT

    6. Democrats are not beating the controlled opposition allegations anytime soon.

Every single Democrat on this list needs to be primaried. Unfortunately there are some good names on this list but this was a bad miscalculation.

I’m sure they believe they’re being strategic by voting to table this motion. They aren’t. When this criminal president illegally, in violation of the War Powers passed by Congress, bombs a country and nearly starts another war, you vote to impeach. I don’t care if you have some master plan in your mind. If you believe it was illegal and the only enforcement mechanisms you have as Congress is impeachment, then you impeach. When the President becomes reckless and untethered it is Congress’s job to rein them in and remove them before more damage is done.

Voting Yea on this motion is to vote to give away your Oversight power at this incredibly pivotal moment. It is a disgrace and you must be removed from office if you are a Yea on this list. It doesn’t make me happy to say that.

    8. What a bunch of cowards. Might as well just let him be king if they’re not even going to challenge him or his regime in the slightest.

There are two-dozen things to impeach Trump over. This isn’t one of them. People really need to stop calling every single military action they don’t like „illegal“. It isn’t. It’s blatantly within Article II powers, just like Libya, Syria, Bosnia, etc.

Between this & the NYC mayoral race, it’s pretty clear to anyone paying attention that the purpose of the Democrats is to suppress the left, not fight the right.

Looks like 6 out of our 8 Washington state reps joined with the Republicans. Nice bipartisanship guys. 😕

How many times did Republicans vote to repeal Obamacare during Obama’s second term? They knew it would be vetoed, but they kept the issue in the news cycle. What don’t Dems get about this?

Beholden to their campaign contributors, wish I owned a print shop and a tv station to actually help out smaller folks who haven’t sold their souls to corporations to get elected. Then maybe we’d see some change in the way things are voted on but we the people are gonna have to front a lot of time and money across this nation to fight these billionaires leeches.

Last time there was taxation without adequate representation, we threw a party

Its quickly becoming necessary for a 3rd party I think. Something that captures the best 3 or 4 items from each of the main parties, and adds 3 to 4 of its own. There are too many old people running the D’s, and too many intolerant people running the R’s. The majority of voters aren’t represented by any of them. And everyone gets hurt by their indecision or narrow mindedness or both. Its time for one or both of them to just go the way of the Whig Party.

    16. To play the devil’s advocate for a moment:

Is it possible that to not table this resolution would waste legislative time on something with zero chance of passing, thereby reducing the likelihood of passing other more impactful pieces of legislation?

I hate this as much as the next voter, but it is surprising that so many Democrats voted to table when they probably do think Trump should be impeached.

    17. Listen, I’m all for impeachment, but if Al Greene included the phrase “…the bombing of Iran was a de facto declaration of war” then he practically set this up for failure. No one in Congress is going to want to make this any bigger than a “special operation”.

Granted, to even pretend like the democratic party is “anti-bombing Iran to prevent nukes” is laughable.

    18. Eh. We already did this twice, with damning evidence, and it made very little difference. This time we won’t even get out of the House, so it would be meaningless. I’d rather they focus on actual accomplishments.

    19. The funny part is I got massively downvoted for saying exactly what the title said minutes ago in a previous thread.
