I post this as yet another counterpoint to the endless Alberta conservative narratives about our industry being stifled. In reality, the oil and gas industry continues to grow and boom.

In reality, we do need to stop the growth of this industry, to stop our emissions from continuing to increase dramatically. But if you listened to the political actors who don’t believe in climate change, you’d think we’d already killed the industry.

    2. I’ll have you know that I talked to some Albertans online and that under the Liberals, oil and gas in Alberta is completely dead. The industry is in a death spiral, choked out by federal oversight choking the life out of it on purpose, to deny Albertans income and make them destitute.

The feds do this because they hate Albertans and think they are subhumans, even though they have albertan MPs among them (and the Prime Minister himself is from there). All they want is Albertans to be penniless and die of starvation.

Carney and Trudeau are physically ripping pipelines out of the ground and throwing them into landfills, much to the horror of hard working Albertans who did nothing wrong. Thank God Harper and Pollievre twinned the Trans Mountain and lined it with uranium shielding so that the feds couldn’t rip it up too. (Even though the Liberals will lie and say they bought the pipeline)

    3. We built them the added capacity of a new pipeline and they cranked up production. Just like the environmentalists said they would.

Oil industry disingenuously denied, and changed the subject the whole time but this was the core goal.

Now they’re agitating for even more pipelines so they can pump even more.

At no point is there any consideration for the fact that the emissions from this will destroy our way of life. We need to stop listening to these nihilists.
