They’ll be out in 3.5, nowhere near enough considering the one not wielding the knife told the knife man explicitly to kill the policeman.
We’ve all been imprisoned and our freedoms restricted longer during Covid lockdown than most violent criminals will ever be.
Based on their facial hair, they look like they haven’t got a clue how to use a blade.
So they tried to kill someone that said they were a police officer and they got 7 years? If that’s not 2 tiers then I don’t know what is.
Wow 7 years and out in 3.5 for what should have been attempted murder when they’ve already got previous for knives and violent crime.
I’m sure this time they’ll learn their lesson though.

These sort of people are a shame to our community should be locked for life for attack on a police officer.
7 years is on the high end for GBH. Could probably (for once) make a decent argument that it should have been attempted murder, but im not surprised they didn’t.
A bit reminiscent of the [Let him have it](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_Bentley_case) conviction

Why has no government had the wherewithal to change sentencing guidelines to increase time served for violent offences, and lower those for nonviolent?
While I think this should have been attempted murder, 7 years for GBH of this nature is atrocious.
