Indeed, it is a mistery to me why nothing is progressing in that city, especially the town along the river. They refurbished some inner buildings though.

Kutaisi is most underrated city. Unfortunately its mayor is the most corrupt piece of shit, along with his predecessors. if you just observe how much time and money it takes them to finish projects two man could do in one week, you’ll know why the city does mot progress much. Its crazy the shit they get away with here.
I find Kutaisi quite depressing as it has some pretty parts but the overall feeling is of a city that people have given up on. I can see how it could be renovated with a bit of love and be great though

Kutaisi has the biggest potential but I have 0 confidence in our institutions to plan the city. More likely they’ll ruin it with ugly high rises like they did with Tbilisi.
